In any Co operative Housing Society, it is the responsibility of the committee members to ensure that they keep their building and surroundings pest free.

To begin with you can get the Termite Control treatment for the entire building done including all the flats (5 years warranty). Often, this treatment is done only for the common areas like external perimeter, staircase, and passage. The most important place to be treated are the flats which are excluded. We do not recommend this because termites attack cellulose, which is present in materials like paper, cloth, and wood which is found inside the flats. Getting only the external perimeter treatment will not free the building of termites.

Secondly the members can get the cockroach treatment done for manholes & rat treatment for the compound area. The kinds of cockroaches which breed inside the man holes are different from the cockroaches which dwell inside the flats. Flats have to be treated separately. A combined contract for all the flats works out to be super economical as you can save at least 30% of the total cost.

Lastly we are also aware of the nuisance caused and diseases spread by mosquitoes. The infestation of mosquitoes can only be reduced by doing fogging treatment on a regular basis in the compound area. All the treatments relevant for societies are described as follows.

TERMI FREEZE – THE TERMITE CONTROL FOR BUILDINGS (5 YEARS WARRANTY)

Internal Treatment:
In this treatment holes are drilled inside the flats at the junction of the wall and the flooring, chemical is poured in these holes and sealed with cement. All termite infested areas are sprayed thoroughly and the termite channels are removed. Regular check-ups are done during the contract period. The woodwork in contact with the masonry in a building is particularly susceptible to termite infestation which is also treated.

External Treatment:
We also take contracts for only the external areas of the building like stairways, corridors and parking lots. We use imidacloprid (brand name PREMISE of BAYER INDIA). We drill holes around the pillars / perimeter of the building premises. Insecticide is poured in these holes and sealed with cement. This treatment is based on ISI specifications.

COCKROACH TREATMENT FOR DRAINAGES

The drainages inside the compound of the building are infested with numerous cockroaches. We open these drainages and spray the border and the inside of the drains. Water based and kerosene based insectisides are used to get the best results.

SMART GEL – THE ODOURLESS COCKROACH TREATMENT FOR FLATS

The SMART GEL treatment is an odourless and non messy treatment hence there is no need to vacate premises during / after the service. The results can be seen in 3-4 days. Minute dots of gel are applied in strategic but inconspicuous locations with the help of a syringe in all cracks and crevices. The cockroaches get attracted to the gel, eat it and die.

RADICATE – THE RAT / RODENT CONTROL TREATMENT

The RADICATE treatment is a systematic study of rat behavior in which combination of different methods are used. We use Bromodiolene which is safe for pets and children, and has no bait shyness (rats are not able to connect the death of other rats to this bait thus giving results every time). Fortnightly visits are undertaken to check the infestation of rats.
